History
Inspired by personal events, in 2002 Rao Kasindhuni founded KDB Incorporated in the United States and KDB Trust in India with the vision of bringing awareness and services for mentally-challenged individuals in rural India. Since its opening in 2004, the Day School for children with its complimentary community health services has grown significantly. Over the last 10 years KDB has provided hundreds of special needs individuals and rural residents with support services.
Facilities and Resources
KDB built a state of the art building which has class rooms, a computer lab, fully equipped physiotherapy room, kitchen and dining hall and bathrooms that have handicap accessibility. Second level of this building houses a college for women, which offers a two year diploma (D.Ed) in Special education for rural high school graduates (women).
